Gabriela ÎNSURĂȚELU
PHOTOGRAPHER
She is a photographer.
Gabriela began taking photography seriously only in 2004 when she got her hands on a compact digital camera, and since than she has never let go. She just loves to make art. Things did not start here and she continued the self study for a few more years, until she finally decided to apply for Art University. She is studying photography and video at “George Enescu” Art University in Iasi city, Romania, and when she is not busy doing that, she is busy travelling and obviously taking photographs.
Photography has taken Gabriela to 18 countries so far, and for sure this number will continue to grow. She travels with her husband which is a biologist and also a photographer (but more scientific photography). Her husband always says she is the artist in the family. They are newly weds, and you can read more about their wedding on a website put together by Gabriela. Everyone told them that it is the most mediating wedding they saw among real life friends.
Gabriela had three exhibits so far, one personal and two collective, but for her, it’s not about being famous or being known. It’s about doing everything she can and trying to make a difference.
She has her mind filled with ideas and plans. She is always doing something, is driving somewhere, studying something. If the day would have 48 hours it would still not be enough for her.
She lives in Iasi, Romania, and in her little free time she tries to have fun with her 7 yo niece, Isabela, which is the family treasure.
